This rare issue of Vogue Hommes Japan features a 26-page editorial, Bondage Warriors, photographed by Steven Klein at the height of his provocative and cinematic style.

Beyond Klein’s story, the magazine is packed with standout contributions, including work by Hedi Slimane and a striking Lady Gaga editorial photographed by Nobuyoshi Araki.

Published between 2008 and 2012, Vogue Hommes Japan was the Japanese counterpart to L’Uomo Vogue and quickly became known for its bold fashion direction under Nicola Formichetti.

A great example of late-2000s fashion publishing, bringing together some of the most influential names in photography, fashion, and pop culture.
