Tomorrow’s Man 2 is the second issue of Jack Pierson’s ongoing publishing project, inspired by a 1950s and ’60s physique magazine of the same name.

Rather than simply reviving its vintage bodybuilding aesthetic, Pierson turns the publication into something much broader. Old printed matter, found imagery, drawings, illustrations, and contemporary art come together in a dense visual mix that moves freely across different periods and ideas of masculinity.

A passionate collector of printed ephemera, Pierson has described Tomorrow’s Man as a format shaped in part by his love of old scrapbooks. That spirit is especially present in the second issue, which became even denser than the first. Pierson's own published work appears alongside archival material and contributions from artists including Mel Odom, Tibi Tibi Neuspiel, Richard Tinkler, Alejandro Cesarco, Elizabeth Kley, and Evan Whale.

The result is less like a conventional photobook and more like a visual scrapbook—an unpredictable collection of images, references, and ideas. Tomorrow’s Man 2 looks back to the coded world of mid-century physique magazines while opening masculinity up to a much wider and less fixed range of images.

Part of a six-issue series, each Tomorrow’s Man gathers different artists and material while continuing Pierson’s original idea: to bring old and new printed images into the same conversation.

Includes a short story by Veralyn Behenna entitled Santiago de Compostela.
