'Garçons Papillons (Butterfly Boys)' is an artist book by Clément Clausse, a Paris-based artist who explores the possibilities of print and image-making through experimental publishing.
The book looks at the shared, generational experience of growing up gay in the countryside. It unfolds like a series of film stills—soft, grainy, and slightly distorted, the way a VHS would flicker when rewound.
Short texts and a small playlist of four songs appear throughout, giving the book the feeling of a coming-of-age mixtape, where every moment feels charged and full of emotion.
