Interspersed with these photographs and interviews with the dogs’ adoring owners are essays by Bruce Weber and texts by Eugene O’Neill, Carl Sandburg, Zane Grey, James Baldwin, C.Z. Guest, Will James, Joseph Conrad, Lord Byron and Patti Smith.
