Borders is a deeply personal project by French photographer Maxime Muller, created over three years.

Through quiet, intimate photographs of men and everyday spaces, the book moves between closeness and distance—between the body and the mind. It reflects on emotional boundaries, desire, and the fragile line between inner feelings and the outside world.

The images feel like fragments of a diary: a body, a look, a room, a street, a forest. Moments that can comfort, but also leave you uncertain.

Raw and honest, Borders captures a sense of vulnerability and connection within the queer experience.
