Silhouette is a self-published photobook by Tokyo-based visual artist Mahiro, featuring artist Yudai Takeuchi. Published for Mahiro's solo exhibition at platform3 in Tokyo, the book was released in a limited edition of 100 copies.

Photographed in the streets and shadows of Tokyo, Silhouette explores masculinity, desire, and identity through the artist's personal perspective as a gay man. The images reflect the tension between feeling disconnected from society's idea of manhood while still being drawn to it.

Throughout the book, the color pink becomes a symbol of longing, self-reflection, and the experiences of gay men who have long lived at the margins.

Part personal reflection and part visual journey, Silhouette traces a young man's search for identity through shifting images of masculinity.
